WHAT ARE THE KEY CHANGES FROM 1 APRIL 2023?

The current position for  property is that it is unlawful to grant a lease of a property with an EPC rating of F or G, this means all properties must be an E rating or above.

HOW WILL THE NEW MEES REGULATIONS AFFECT YOU?

The Government has now added a new proposal in the Bill, that all rental properties must meet a compulsory energy performance certificate rating of band “C” on new tenancies by December 2025, and on all rented properties by December 2028. Consequently these proposals must be taken seriously.

HOW WE COMBAT THIS AT EPC2

Although completing an EPC for your property will generate a list of recommendations to improve your score, some of these recommendations are intrusive and expensive and may not be the best way to improve your EPC score. As our assessors have years of experience in the ECO3 and ECO4 industry, our knowledge will always produce the most cost effective way to improve your score and future proof your property, sometimes only minor changes really make the difference in improving the score and we know how to find them.
