If you are selling a property in the UK there is a legal requirement to obtain an Energy Performance Certificate. The requirement exists whether you are selling your property with a High Street Estate Agent, an On-Line Estate Agents or whether you are selling privately.
The Law states that from the moment you market your property, you have a 7 day period in which to obtain your EPC. If you are unable to obtain an EPC for any reason then a further period of 21 days is allowed provided you are able to confirm that you have commissioned an EPC.
EPC2 are able to provide a marketing confirmation letter that will ensure you have complied with the Law and avoid the £200 fine which can be imposed by Trading Standards. All our EPCs are completed on a 24hr turnaround time.
Estate Agent may be able to offer an EPC service but EPC2 clients enjoy substantial cost savings over most Agents EPC charges. This includes On-Line Agents where EPC Choice will be 30-40% less.
